Plant-rich, low saturated

King's College London. "Plant-rich, low saturated-fat diet associated with reduced psoriasis severity." ScienceDaily. ScienceDaily, 21 February 2025. <www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2025/02/25022112...

Plant-rich, low saturated

A team of researchers from King's College London investigated the relationship between dietary patterns and psoriasis severity. They analyzed data from individuals with psoriasis who followed a plant-rich, low saturated-fat diet, which was characterized by high consumption of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein sources. In contrast, participants in the control group had higher intake of saturated fats and processed foods.

The findings suggest that adhering to a plant-based dietary pattern may have benefits for individuals with psoriasis. This is consistent with previous research indicating that diet can play a significant role in managing symptoms of the condition. Further studies are needed to confirm these results and explore potential mechanisms underlying the relationship between diet and psoriasis severity.
